Qinling Mountain range lies in the middle of China．The range ,which is the watershed of the two main rivers of China–the Yangtze River and the Yellow river, is the demarcation between north and south China in terms of geography and climate．Heihe River originates from the northern foot of Qinling Mountain and south of Taibai Mountain，along with few hundred kilometers and cross Wei River，and finally integrates into Yellow River．
＂So deep is the pool that the water looks like black ink；people are said to have no idea of the mastery of the dragon living at the bottom of the pool．＂This is the description by Bai Juyi, a well-known poet of Tang Dynasty，who was once the governor of Zhouzhi County．It enjoys a convenient traffic with National Highway 108 running through it，and it occupies an area of 7462 hectares with a green coverage of 94% and more than 100 scenic spots distributed in four scenic zones Dense forest，grotesque peaks like sculptures， jagged and oddly-shaped rocks make the landscape picturesque．Rare giant pandas，golden monkeys，takins，ancient plank road along cliffs and historical relics can be seen everywhere．In spring，flowers spread over the hillsides；in summer，trees give deep shade；in autumn，leaves grow scarlet and in winter，white snow covers the mountain．
The beautiful scenery and the primitive natural view of Heihe National Forest Park have attracted special attention of the World Wildlife Fund(WWF)，which has cooperated with our park to achieve the unity of ecological protection and sustainable development, building the park into a demonstration zone of ecological tourism in Shaanxi Province.
